    The National Trust Tythe Barn in  Middle Littleton. 
The Littletons - North and South are located midway between EVESHAM BIDFORD on AVON. largest of the 3 is Littleton with some 1200 inhabitants.  and  them have about 700 also has  Village Hall while almost entirely residential.  But it does still a pub Ivy. The villages served by 2 Parish Councils there Anglican Churches in Quaker Chapel South.  First School which has large Recreation Ground Allotments thriving Bowling Tennis Clubs. There Shop Post office Fish & Chip all Main Street Littleton. The parish occupies strip land roughly 1 mile wide running from river Avon west to Buckle (the Roman Ryknild St) east. landscape changes meadows flood plain up steep scarp Windmill Hill then down dip slope finally east into shallow saucer-like basin. ">Human activity this area dates Neolithic times but first settlements were probably Romano-British.  Roads been accredited more important these another ran along ridge above before turning join Street.  Three other Romano-British origin at Ullington Blakes Pastures occupied until end 4th century ">After Romans departed seems that was abandoned. In Domesday Book however mentioned twice. "Littletune" be had 18 inhabitants farming owned Evesham Abbey. ">During Ages most dwelling houses would simple construction not survived.  impressive surviving Manor House built local stone Jacobean style  17th century.  Later survived give character villages developed as an agricultural 19th 13 people listed market gardeners 10 farmers.  This situation late 1940s only small minority parishioners work land.  Today villagers tend commuters or retired people.
